David has been through a tough childhood and life, growing up with an abusive and alcoholic dad, the toxic environment was absorbed and was perceived to be normal. As he got into relationships as a teenager and adult, he had to learn the hard way how to love and how not to love a romantic partner. This has caused him a lot of heartbreak, and struggles with healthy relationships as an adult. The idea of love has always been intriguing and fascinating to him since he has a big heart.
